Pembroke Pines Charter High School
I have been a teacher for most of my adult life. In September 1972, I began my career as a high school teacher at Memphis Catholic High School in Memphis, Tennesee. After that I taught for three years at Chaminade-Julienne High School in Dayton, Ohio. In 1979 I moved to Miami, Florida where I spent the next twenty-seven years outside of traditional education, but I kept my skills active training new employees at my workplace. During that time I also taught religious education classes to middle school students, high school students and adults. For six of those years I volunteered part-time in ministry to inmates and recovering substance abusers.
I joined the faculty of Pembroke Pines Charter High School in August 2006, teaching Language Arts to 12th graders.
